Sleep apnea is a very difficult thing to live with, both for the sufferer and for people living and sleep with him or her. If you fit into either of these categories, then you know just how frustrating it can be. Read through the tips found in this article to learn the best way to survive this problem! Try using a mouth guard that's custom-fitted for you. These are made especially for those suffering from sleep apnea. If you don't have CPAP, then this guard is an excellent alternative. Also, it's a lot more comfortable wearing this mouth guard while sleeping. It really helps keep the airways clear and keeps the soft tissues of the throat stable. Adjust your CPAP machine. Most machines come with default settings that might not correspond to your needs. You should be able to regulate the airflow: try different settings and choose one that seems to work for you. If you feel like your machine is not working like it should, try changing the settings again. Improve your sleep apnea by slimming down a bit. Recent research showed dramatic improvements in overweight men who shed 25 pounds over a period of one year to reduce sleep apnea symptoms. In some cases, the weight loss resulted in a cure of sleep apnea where no further treatment of the condition was necessary. Sleep apnea can benefit from a good diet that results in your losing weight. Normally people are quite surprised to learn that unhealthy eating is a major source of their sleep apnea. It's been proven that poor diets can contribute to the severity of sleep apnea. Try your best to maintain a regular sleeping schedule. When your body gets into a customary sleeping cycle, you will find yourself getting a better night's sleep, and you will also be more relaxed. Several studies have shown that apnea episodes decrease when a person is not sleep deprived or stressed out. An excellent way to help lessen the effects of sleep apnea is by losing weight. Sometimes, losing weight is all it takes to get rid of sleep apnea. Even a nominal amount of weight loss will go a long way in improving your breathing at night. A great way to ensure that you do not sleep on your back and cause sleep apnea to occur is to use a tennis ball to prevent rolling onto your back. You can place one in a pillow behind your back and when you roll over in your sleep, the tennis ball will make you roll back on your side. Minimize your risk from the conditions causing sleep apnea. Some sleep apnea risk factors cannot be changed, like genetic or hereditary reasons. But others, such as weight smoking and drinking, can be controlled. Life after your CPAP diagnosis may seem overwhelming at first. However, there is a lot of help to be found if you look for it. This article has shared just a few easy ideas for dealing with your sleep condition. Start applying these today, and you will feel more in control of your life in no time.

My husband I were in NOLA to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and were restating our vows when Stephanie walked by. We had no witnesses or guests besides the minister. Camera in hand on her way to a wedding, she very generously offered to take our picture. She then sent them to me (even touched up to hide my injured knees) and they are WONDERFUL! The spirit of New Orleans was present in everyone we met on our vacation, but her real genuine generosity was above and beyond the call of duty. And a great product besides. Thank you Stephanie for the fabulous pictures!!!
